When discussing the recent struggles of the Packers offense, quarterback Aaron Rodgers said an injury wasn’t the cause for any of his contributions to the slowdown during the team’s current three-game losing streak.

Coach Mike McCarthy gave a slightly different answer during his Wednesday press conference. McCarthy described Rodgers, via the Green Bay Press-Gazette, as “banged up” along with several other players.

There’s nothing to that to suggest that there’s a medical issue to be overly concerned about since it would be harder to find players who aren’t dealing with aches and pains at this point in the season. The Packers know that as well as anyone with McCarthy announcing that wide receiver Jared Abbrederis will be out several weeks with a rib injury.

Abbrederis saw a rise in playing time with Ty Montgomery out of the lineup, but Montgomery is on track to return from his ankle injury this week. McCarthy also said that running back Eddie Lacy is practicing Wednesday after sitting out last Sunday’s loss to the Lions with a groin injury.
