It looks like Brian Hoyer won’t be the only quarterback missing this weekend because of a concussion.

Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is well on his way to being ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers after missing a second day of practice on Thursday. The chances that he’ll progress through the rest of the concussion protocol by Sunday are almost zero as coach Chip Kelly said, via Reuben Frank of CSN Philly, that Bradford hasn’t been cleared to start doing any cardio or lifting at this point.

That’s a relatively early step in the protocol and it is one that calls into question whether Bradford will be able to gain clearance before Philly’s Thanksgiving game against the Lions. There’s also the question of his left shoulder injury, although Kelly said Thursday that the concussion is the main concern and that there won’t be a diagnosis about the shoulder until he clears the concussion protocol.

Running back Ryan Mathews also remains out with a concussion, but left tackle Jason Peters was on the field during practice. Peters has missed the last two games with a back injury and Kelly said he’d be out of practice Thursday, but Peters was going through drills during the portion open to the media.
