Aaron Rodgers has a Davante Adams problem

AP

To say Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t looked like his old self recently would be accurate, but with one major caveat: The decline in Rodgers’s production has come mostly on passes to wide receiver Davante Adams.

Over the last three weeks, when Rodgers throws to Adams, he’s 15-for-35 for 129 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. That’s a completion percentage of 42.9 percent, an average of 3.7 yards per pass, and a passer rating of 41.2.

Over the last three weeks, when Rodgers throws to anyone other than Adams, he’s 58-for-103 for 618 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions. That’s a completion percentage of 56.3 percent, an average of 6.0 yards per pass, and a passer rating of 90.2.

In last night’s loss to the Bears, Adams had a couple of big drops. Rodgers didn’t throw Adams under the bus after the game, but Rodgers did say they need to get on the same page. Packers coach Mike McCarthy was a little more direct about the problems Adams is causing in the offense.

Didn’t have a very good day today,” McCarthy said when asked about Adams. “The consistency we’re getting in certain areas needs to pick up.”

Asked about the interception Rodgers threw, McCarthy suggested that Adams was to blame.

“It’s a basic route. It didn’t look like it was a very good route,” McCarthy said.

As a second-round draft pick last year, Adams didn’t have a huge role in the offense, but the Packers’ passing game was so efficient that they didn’t need him to do much. This year, with Jordy Nelson injured, the Packers are throwing to Adams more frequently, and Adams isn’t producing. And that’s the biggest difference between last year’s Packers and this year’s Packers.

  1. Completely agree. We need to see less of Adams, and more of Janis, starting immediately. If they stay the course, they’re going to be lucky to have an opportunity to go one-and-out.

  2. This is turning out just like it did with ole Favre. Win a SB early and then break the hearts of Packer rubes for years and years until finally the team turns on him and then the fans turn on him. Cant wait to see Packerland turn on Rodgers just like they did on ole #4. Delicious!

  3. The number of incorrect routes, dropped passes, and inability to get separation coming from the Green Bay receivers this year has been astonishing.

  4. Ted finally drafted a couple of busts at receiver – Davante Adams and Richard Rodgers. That 2014 WR class was loaded too. Richard Rodgers is the slowest TE of all-time with no run after catch ability. Adams has stones for hands – dropped 2 touchdowns and left at least 70 yards on the field last night. I think Robert Ferguson was better!

  5. Adams is brutal. He’s not fast (have u ever seen a TD bomb to him in 2 years, even preseason? I’ve seen a few to Janis). He’s not a good or consistent route runner. And he drops way too many passes. Not just recently. Remember late in the New England game last year on third & goal? Dropped perfect pass in end zone.

I don’t know why Rodgers supports Adams, touted him as a blossoming star, but why he hates Janis and/or “doesn’t trust” Janis.

It almost seems that sensitive thin-skinned Aaron thinks his Hollywood girlfriend blew Janis or something.

This offense lacks SPEED more than any other NFL team, even Cleveland. And Janis has it. Plus he’s a larger target at 6’3″ (just like Nelson) and not a midget like Cobb.

  6. Changing of the guard, the older NFL teams giving way to the new hungry teams like the Panthers and Seahawks. The older teams that ruled the NFL like the Packers, 49ers, Steelers, Cowboys, even the Pats will eventually get rolled over. Course some will go down with dignity… like the Pats. Nothing lasts forever.

  7. This is all Olivia Munn’s fault. Ever since choirboy Aaron started up with that shameless hussy, talking about things that should between a man and a woman, god’s team has been losing. God even allowed penalties to be called AGAINST us. I take that as a sign of the apocalypse.

  8. “Over the last three weeks, when Rodgers throws to Adams, he’s 15-for-35 for 129 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. That’s a completion percentage of 42.9 percent, an average of 3.7 yards per pass, and a passer rating of 41.2.”

Yet Adams was 3 for 3 against MN for 100% and Randall Cobb was 2 for 9 – or 22.2%. Rodgers only hit 47% of his passes in that game. Is Adams the problem?

Cobb was 5 for 10 vs the Lions – or 50%. And against the Panthers he was 4 for 12 – or 33.3% (Adams caught 7 of 11 – or 63.6%).

Rodgers has only really been hitting his TE’s and RB’s with any real consistency.

Is it he WR’s that are the problem or is it the QB? Rodger’s completion % is in the tank.

  9. So Davante Adams drops a lot of balls. May I remind you that against the Vikings, Rodgers’ pass completion rate was 47%? And last night, a lot of his passes weren’t so hot either. It’s easy to blame the receivers or cry about not having Jordy, but truth be told Rodgers has NOT been impressive this season, not even when they were on their 6-0 streak. He should shoulder his fair share of the blame.

  10. I don’t know that the Turd Ferguson comment wins the internet entirely, but it certainly allows you to take full possession of it for a couple hours.

    Well done

  11. It’s hard to imagine how the Greatest Team and Greatest QB of All Time always seem to struggle, slide in the playoffs and then end up losing on the road.

The only exception was the year they were fortunate enough to face a 7th string Bears QB and a poor Pittsburgh team in the SB.

  12. Rodgers throws to a spot, as does every other QB. It the receiver doesn’t run their route correctly, it looks like a bad pass. Obviously on a rainy night some throws will get away. I would blame the lack luster play calling once more.

I can’t believe the same play caller last week called plays this week

  13. I dont get the folks saying the Packs OL is bad. The Bears really didnt get to Rodgers much on passing downs and the Pack was crushing the Bears in the run game all night. Ive seen Rodgers complete passes with a lot less time to throw than he had last night so I’d say ease off the OL and put the blame on the WRs or better still just credit the Bears DBs and especially Porter with a hell of a game.

  14. I’m a Packer fan, but the fact of the matter is, the Packers did not play well enough to win the game last night. Its easy to point fingers at the receivers, yet Rodgers is not throwing the ball with his usual accuracy. Then we had that bad snap down in field goal range. Those three points would have made the difference. Those are big if’s however, and there are no guarantee’s in inclement weather.

  15. It isn’t really fair that the Packers had to play just four days after winning their “Super Bowl” against the Vikings. After an emotional high like that, it’s only natural that they would have a letdown against the Bears, who they don’t see as much of a rival.

  16. The passing game stunk against the Bears. Receivers just cannot hold on to the ball. It’s killing my fantasy team just as much as the Packers playoff chances. A good strong tight end would certainly help.

  17. I think he has a problem with all of his WRs. It looks like he just doesn’t trust them the run the proper route and/or get open. Whenever he needs to make a play, he looks to escape the pocket and give his WRs extra time to get open. So instead of taking his drop, hitting that last step, and releasing the ball, he’s constantly trying to deliver on the run, which is also hurting his accuracy.

  18. The WRs all look chubby and out of shape. Eat a cobb salad for once Cobb. Get a nutritionist up to Green Bay and hide the Brats.
Fat, slow, with dropsies is no way to go thru NFL life

  19. bassplucker, the Bears DL might not have gotten their hands on Rodgers that much last night. But you do have to admit that the Bears DL were getting consistent pressure as the game moved into the third and fourth quarter. That had to help the Chicago DBs.

Oh, you mean sorta like the 5-5 Seahawks right? Right?

  25. Adams was hurt at beginning of season, perhaps playing injured. If not, he lacks talent to play in NFL, yet he has become critically essential for GB success?

  26. @chicagobtech:

When the offense gives up on the run, and throws 80% or more, then the defense pins back and does nothing but rush the passer.

The Packers are bad because they have young, inexperienced kids at too many key positions, a worthless head coach, terrible coordinators that don’t adjust game plans to conditions, a GM that flat out refuses to add impact players through free agency, and a quarterback that started to believe the hype about himself, again (the Packers seem to have a problem with this over the last 25 years).

This 2015 team, in reality, should have lost the first Bears game, as well as the San Diego and St. Louis games, and instead of sitting at 7-4, should more realistically be 4-7.

  27. I was disappointed in this game all around. It wasn’t nearly the black and blue division slug fest I had envisioned. Both teams’ offenses looked disinterested and it didn’t get exciting until the last 4 minutes or so.

There were plenty of opportunities for the Pack to win this game and they took advantage of exactly none of them. Play calls were fine, execution was horrible. Conversely, the Bears had opportunities to put it away early and missed on those as well. It was just a poor, poor showing by both offenses. Yeah, the weather was ugly but that’s NFCN football late in the year. They’re supposed to relish this kind of weather, not wilt from it.

Ed Hochuli’s crew was once again terrible. Some of the calls were insane both ways. I think the completely insane ones evened out at 2 on each team but I may be forgetting one or two. Jeebus knows I’d like to forget them all. Hochuli needs to be given his own TV show and take his whole crew with him. Anything to get them off the field.

Congrats to the Bears and their fans. Make no mistake, they earned this win, and they did it with their defense flying around like mad animals and making plays. That’s solid Chicago Bears football is what that is. I hate that the Pack lost, but if they had to lose one, I’m okay with them losing to a solid Bears defensive effort. Division rival or not.

  28. Both the offensive and defensive schemes and offensive play calling is horrible. Offensively predictable and horrible defensive lapses in the secondary…too many times the opponents receivers are running free 15 to 20 yards down the field. The passing routes, relatively devoid of quick slants that can be broken into long touchdowns, generally consist of “run 7 to 12 yards down the field see that you’re covered then kind of run around for a second or two until Rodgers runs out of time”. Maybe the Seattle loss last year in the playoffs did more damage than early success this year would lead one to believe. Throw in the poor execution and this is the worst looking Packer team in many years. Defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator, and offensive play calling all needs to be shaken up…for starters.

  29. It’s obvious Rodgers knows his talents are fading. He’s in as many commercials and endorsements as possible. He’s smart enough to know how this ends, especially with seeing how packer fans treated Favre when he left. He’ll end up in a booth providing color commentary. It’s just happening sooner than anyone anticipated.

  30. Rodgers has a Ted Thompson & Mike McCarthy problem.

TT has not drafted in middle rounds particularly well. Does not favor free agents, even yeoman veterans that can make a consistent difference.

MM is not a top tier coach. He’s been outcoached in the playoffs. Why abandon the run last night? Was Lacy hurt? Yes he fumbled…..but show no confidence by giving the man the rock again?

Rodgers may be on the outside looking in on the Packer’s Rushmore list. I’d put Lombardi & Favre ahead of him. Could argue Nitschke, Hutson, Starr & Hornung.

Rodgers has the QB intelligence, mobility, arm strength & playmaking attitude to consistently lead a team. The pieces around him do not seem to get better. Something is always missing. He has what it takes to retire with multiple titles & be compared to the likes of Montana, Brady, Manning & Staubach. But, the organization is letting him down.

  31. Coaching
    Preparation
    Play calling
    Fumbles
    Bad passes
    Bad route running
    Dropped balls
Matthews in the middle instead of rushing off the edge
    Can’t cover the WR screen

The only thing this team isn’t poor at right now is penalties. And last night they had some timely penalties that killed them.

Their problems go way deeper than one receiver. And kicking 5 field goals against the Vikings after stalled drives didn’t fix any of their problems.

  32. I seem to remember Packer fans lecturing the rest of us a few months ago on how they never make excuses. Just a sampling of the excuses this morning: Jordy Nelson, Olivia Munn, the refs, the weather, video games, etc., etc.

  33. Buckle up its time for a new episode of The Blame Game. Can’t wait for next Thursday when Detroit blasts through your o-line and outs a hard hit in your other funny bone. Fuddy duddy #gopackgo

  34. Plain and simple The Packers look like s h * t, no excuses at the moment they suck. Offense looks pathetic and the defense has been is so overrated for years. Not to go after him but Clay disappears for 3 games and if he stops a running back for a 3 yard GAIN he’s the best player the league has ever scene if you listen to the broadcasters. No matter what happens at the end of the season Dom Capers needs to go. Tom Clements bye bye. I just can’t believe all the sudden Jordy Nelson’s absence is the cause? No body was saying that when we were 6-0? Biggest problem’s on this team I believe is offensive line sucks and no tight end., followed very closely by the joke of a defense year in and year out.

    Sincerely,
    Green Bay Packers, Owner

  35. I think it all boils down to the WR. They don’t get separation, they drop way too many balls. They just seem like they are half assing the routes. It is really easy to be a #2 or #3 WR when you have Jordy Nelson taking 2 defenders and teams being forced to play cover 2 or cover 3. When you don’t have a big, fast dominate WR then teams can play man coverage. They GB wr are not used to being covered man to man with safety help.

The problem is Jordy Nelson not being there. It is as simple as that. He made all the other WR look way better than they are. Rodgers isn’t playing terrible, but when your WR can’t catch passes there isn’t much more he could do. That INT was Adams running a half assed route.

They have no speed guy to stretch the defense. We clearly see how important Nelson is the Packers and this proves how great of a WR he is. Cobb clearly is overpaid now, and he cannot be a #1 wr. He has proven that he is at best a #2 wr.

  36. You have to put this squarely on coaching. Starks carried the team but they were hell bent to get Lacy back into the load carrying role, reason high draft pick. Ditto Adams versus Janus. It’s the forte of this coaching staff must play the top picks, have to prove we were correct with them.
Adams has had two good games in two years. Why do people all of a sudden think he is any good?

  37. 18 Division Championships. New stadium on the way. Greatest fans in the game. Signature victory over Green Bay in 2012. Playoff win in Lambeau in 2005. We will win our border championship at season’s end and the Vikings will win its 19th division championship. SKOAL!

Yeah right d head……the lions will fail this time…3 Ints by stafford the loser!!

  40. WE didn’t sign Jones last year because we had Adams. He played well….lots of raves. Now this year because we are losing it is his fault or the OL fault. Put it on who’s fault it is..QB and defense. Favre had less to work with at receivers and found a way to win. Minn. would have won last week if not for their defense. With all the weapons on offense….why are they losing?

  41. Refs were horrible last night. Bad calls against bears in the first half followed by bad calls against pack in the second. Id still like to see a decent replay of lacy flipping the ball at the goal line. Its not like they didnt have cameras there. We got to see replays of a bears touchdown that was reversed for being short (good call) of the same goal line a couple times.

  42. Let’s see if the Vi Queen trolls are out in force after they lose to Atlanta this weekend !
I agree though, there were too many drops last night but it was raining through the entire game. On the otherhand, the Bears receivers didn’t drop as many.
I think the issue is with set routes that aren’t being run at full speed or the right cuts. But Aaron needs to be more accurate with some of his throws. Too many were below the hips when they got there.
In any case, the Packers have their problems and if they can’t clean it up you can kiss this season goodbye.

  43. Three weeks ago I rated the Lions pass d the worst in football and the Packers second worst. Since then the Lions pass d has been lights out. Packers pass d is now the worst

  44. You all obviously do not properly understand religion here. When your team or hero, have a bad game or have very bad luck, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with God. HE doesn’t get involved with such trivial things.

That being said, The Bears should praise GOD for their upset victory! Glory to GOD; he is great!

    That’s religion!!!

  45. None of those receivers can get open. Either get rid of the receivers or get rid of McCarthy’s playbook because the other teams seem to know what is coming. Don’t want to hear that McCarthy should be calling the plays…it would be the same crud in a different sequence.

  46. I was texting my friend last night while watching the game.

We both agreed that Davonta Adams needs to be flat out CUT. He’s terrible. He can’t catch. He has no business playing in the NFL.

  47. Favre coming in cold off the sidelines with no warmup would’ve been able to muster more than 13 points. And someone should tell lacy to hold on to that ball like its the last chocolate cake on earth.

  48. It’s pretty shocking that the Packers could bust on a receiver. After all the success they’ve had in that department Adams was considered a sure thing in my book.

  49. TBPFH, this team has more problems than any 1 position.

Aaron has been largely inaccurate, wideouts drop all kinds of passes, running game has been inconsistent. Defense has played terrible, and then had glimmers where they play very well. Last nights conditions were poor, but they were poor for both teams.

Adams in particular drops a lot of balls and runs some of the worst routes in football. James Jones has made some great plays, and then drops the ball in the endzone. Cobb has drops too. The entire team looks like garbage from the coaches on down.

I see very few teams left on the schedule that I am confident in them winning, and I am a Packers fan.

They had better get their act together or the chance will be gone. Then again, I am not sure what they would look like in a playoff setting considering how awful they have played, especially at home.

They had no business winning last night, but they had a 1st and goal and couldn’t do anything. Their red zone offense has been an embarrassment all year long.

No excuse. Rodgers is still one of the best, but he’s not playing like it at all. He’s playing like Matt Cassell and his team isn’t doing him any favors either.

    ——

The OP asked if Rodgers wanted to trade “WRs” with Brady. You said “I assume Gronk is included.” Last I checked, Gronk plays TE so…

And Moss and Brady had 1 good year together 8 years ago. So a great TE and a single HOF WR (for 1 year) over the course of a 15 year career.

Other than that – you made some solid points! LOL

  54. Brady has done more with less talent at the other “skill” positions than any other “elite” QB ever – by far.

Cripes…the Pats have to play the Broncos in Denver this weekend with Chris Harper and Keshawn Martin playing WR opposite LaFell. That’s a practice squad player and a 5th stringer from the Texans!

  55. Where has Cobb been ? Rodgers is the best blah blah blah. How come he’s not making average players better then ? Tom Brady seems to do it hell cam newton is doing it up also. Rodgers the most overrated QB ever hands down and why. It’s because he plays for the packers that’s it he’s not the best and it’s obvious by his play. He’s always throwing somebody else under the bus. What a chump. Haha packers

  56. In 2010, Cutler was a “7th string QB ?” and Pitt was “poor” ? Not what their fans were saying before the game.

The Viking fan is bragging about “Division Championships” ? Whoopee.

Packer fans and the team “turned on ole #4” ? No they didn’t. Brett retired. The team went with their next MVP QB before they lost him. Half the fans were ticked later when Brett played with the Vikes to stick it to TT, but that was down the road a ways. That’s got nothing to do with Rodgers, either.

Lots of teams have fizzled after losing their star QBs – Colts & Manning, Pack and Rodgers, Cowboys and Romo. With Matt Cassell the Pats went 11-5, won their division and set a new scoring record. Not sure how much is Brady there.

  57. You could blame the loss on Adams, but look a bit deeper.
They are the same team that got killed by Seattle last year.
Who put Adams on the field anyway, McCarthey?

  58. And Moss and Brady had 1 good year together 8 years ago. So a great TE and a single HOF WR (for 1 year) over the course of a 15 year career.
    ______

Well, Moss had 83 catches for 1,264 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2009, but I guess it isn’t considered a good year unless you set the NFL record for touchdown receptions.

Not seeing a lot of trolling here. Just plenty of honest assessment, from both Packer and Vikings fans. Your team is a mess right now.

And, if the Vikings lose on Sunday, they will still be in a tie for first place, and control their own destiny.

I’m sticking with my prediction that week 17 decides the division, and both teams make the playoffs. And at this point, the Packers might want that wildcard, since they can’t win at home.

  60. I got out my calculator and did some calculations, too. The readout just said ‘loser’.

  61. Last year in the playoffs, Davante Adams shined. He was very effective against Seattle. People forget that when Derek Carr threw for 50 touchdowns, Davante Adams was on the receiving end of most of them. Adams lead the nation in receiving yards. I have faith in Mike McCarthy. The problem needs tinkering not an overhaul.

  62. Clearly there is something wrong, and it isn’t whining to acknowledge it. Adams is grossly underperforming. After his rookie year it was assumed he would improve, but he has regressed. Clements is now Ass. HC and calling plays. Bennett was moved from receivers coach to OC. I think there lies the problem. The receivers are not performing, they are not making the adjustments and getting open. Something has to be done immediately to get this resolved. It can’t wait for the offseason. If the receivers are lazy and not learning assignments, sit their asses down and put others on the field. Get Janis in there immediately, and get Quarless back on the field The TE productions is horrible.

  63. possumsauce says:

    ————————————–
As a Viking fan, I have to agree about the Janis/Adams statement. I don’t see him in practice or know the reasons but I am baffled as to why Janis isn’t on the field more often. He does pretty well on the field and Adams seems to show up at times but that’s about it.

Quite honestly I don’t think that happens but I do want to bring up a key point. This is not to degrade anyone but the truth is (at least in my opinion) the Packers were lucky to score 13 last night. Their touchdown only happened because of a passing interference call that quite frankly should not have been called. I have no disrespect toward Aaron Rodgers or even the Packers as a franchise. There’s no question they are the kings of the NFC North right now (I say that as a Viking fan) until someone else takes it from them. They aren’t playing well right now. It’s not just Devonte Adams. Something is off with this team and that was evident by the screaming matches on the sidelines. I for one never count a team with Aaron Rodgers out but something just isn’t right at this time. Although they did spank my team last week.

And it’s obvious that Jordy Nelson should be asking for a raise this off season.

Then we had that bad snap down in field goal range. Those three points would have made the difference.
    _______

    Didn’t you lose by four?

This math isn’t really that tough, even for a queens fan. Kick that field goal and you are down by 1 and have the ball at the 8 yard line. See where I’m going with this or would you like me to explain it further?

  72. Welcome back to earth, Packerland.

Sorry — not enough phantom defensive PI calls to bail Rodger’s out this time..

  73. Olivia Munn is to blame. Make no mistake about it and its nothing to do with that recent tabloid-type article about Rogers & Munn having relationship issues..but rather much more sinister in nature.

Without getting all explicit….I’ve seen this happen time and time again with some women that put a spell over the athlete. Sex, lust, etc you name it…will kill an athletes ability in a heart beat.

Yeah yeah yeah, some of you, maybe most of you will blow this off as some Tin-Foil hat BS but the reality of it all is to call it what it is.

There is a reason why boxers and many other male athletes are told by their trainers to avoid sex as much as possible during training or during season play as it has a PROFOUND effect on hampering the attributes of a athlete. Lay it down folks…wake up and see what really goes on in the supernatural realm…too many folks are under this American hypnotic culture that blinds folks to stuff like this. If your a God fearing man…you will know what i am saying is truth.

  74. Rogers 56% passing to his RBs, TE and other WRs doesn’t statistically mean squat when looking at Adams. Passes have got to be in the area of the receiver, while the receiver needs to know what the QB is reading and get to the spot. Adams is a good receiver. They don’t have him running long routes, he’s typically within 20 yards of the LOS.

What I didn’t like seeing last night was lack of effort when he was only a decoy. Every receiver must look like he’s the primary target or at least a viable target. Either he was hurt or gassed at the end of the game, but on that final drive, he was not looking like a target. He would run 5-7 yards and slow/stop and watch the play with the DB as it developed. Even if he knew he wasn’t the target, he should look like he’s in the game.

  76. Cobb is also demonstrating that he is not a number one WR. He had Nelson last year to keep from being double-teamed, and Nelson could still beat his coverage to get double-digit TD’s on the season. Cobb hasn’t done squat this year.

  77. Remember this past summer hen Adams was the next great star WR in the NFL. Now he is this year’s scapegoat like Bostic was last year. Cheeseheads will turn on you at the drop of a pass.

  78. The % of dropped passes is easily checked and it turns out that Adams is not even close to bad. Sure he drops passes. All receivers do. But this is obviously scapegoating. Most of the passes to Adams were either caught or uncatchable.

You’re right. Thanks for your help. I looked it up as well and you are correct. And now let me help you out.

I’ve noticed that you’ve referred to last week’s game as the Packers’ Super Bowl- and of course it’s not- it’s the Vikings’ and has been so for several years. Usually, when a team can’t make the playoffs, and in-season game or games will be sarcastically referred to as their Super Bowl.

It’s the Vikings biggest 2 games of the year for the past several seasons. The Packers have played bigger games, making it to the playoffs the last several years. The Vikings have been a doormat on their way to the playoffs and a Super Bowl in that 10-1-1 run.

All the Vikings are left with are regular season games- except in 2012 when their Super Bowl came early in the playoff season- and they were dispatched by their rival again.

It happens mostly in football. I went to the U of M. Even if we make a bowl game, our biggest games of the year are against OSU or U of M. That’s our National Championship, because we aren’t getting to the 4 team playoff anytime soon, if ever.

I admitted I was wrong, and pointed out another stupid thing that Vikings’ fans say, of which there are many.

    Frank

Thanks for pointing out WHY playing the Vikings IS the Packer’s Super Bowl.

The Packers went 25 years without scoring a SINGLE TD in the playoffs of a full regulation season.

They only made the playoffs in one of those 25 full regulation seasons.

During that stretch, the Vikings won 13 of the Division Championships and made the playoffs in 5 additional seasons.

That is when the term “Packer’s Super Bowl” became known as the Viking/Packer game. Only after the Packers recent short run of Division Championships has the Packer fan base tried to turn that around towards the Vikings.

They seem to think that winning 5 of the last 10 Division Championships mean they “own” the division.

Get back to me when they win 9 of 10 before trying to claim that the Packers have done anything in our division.

Thanks for the opportunity to clarify the issue for you… 😀

    *********************

    Funny.

Adams is on pace for a better year than he had last year.

Last year, according to Packer fans, he was a future super star.

    Now he’s a bust.

    What has changed?

Well, the performance of the QB has definitely changed for the worse.

It’s hard to catch balls that bounce before they get to you or are thrown 10 yards behind you.

  91. “So when Rodgers misses open receivers it’s Adams’ fault?”
    ———-

Most of the time, yes. Rodgers throws to a spot; where Adams is supposed to be. Many times Adams simply isn’t in the correct place.

For example, on Thursday Adams caused the interception. He got hung up on a defender when running a simple slant route. Rodgers was throwing where Adams was supposed to be on that slant. Since Adams wasn’t where he was supposed to be, it ended up being intercepted.

  92. Play calling is unimaginative ..remember when we use to use the fullback out of the backfield? One of the best plays of the year was Ripowski running through a couple of defenders. How bout running it once from the 8? At least Janis showed speed and toughness…..Devonte’s route running was horrible, bench him. We need Ty back now.
Where’s the heart of this team on offense? That was easily the worst loss of the year.
Haven’t lost to two division rivals at home since 91′. Toughness and heart……

  93. Since when did the Minnesota Vikings become “relevant”?
That franchise is a joke, like Groundhog day.

Day after day, year after year, decade after decade, they are Super Bowl spectators. 0-50 for Super Bowls.

They shoulda just moved away like the Lakers and North Stars did. They never would have been able to win titles had they remained in Minny, even Kevin Garnett and Big Papi learned that.

  94. Better winning PCT than the packers & MORE playoff games, in 40 less years ! ….
