Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Hurns missed practice Wednesday.

Hurns was hospitalized briefly last Sunday after hitting his head on the turf while trying to make a catch in the fourth quarter against the Chargers. He has not been ruled out for this week’s game vs. the Titans, and the team will know more about his status when he undergoes further evaluation Thursday.

If Hurns can’t play, second-year wide receiver Marqise Lee could see more playing time. Rookie Rashad Greene, who just debuted in the first Titans-Jaguars game, would also likely see more snaps.

Despite being undrafted in 2014, Hurns long ago passed Lee on the depth chart. Hurns has caught 48 passes for 758 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
