The Eagles did a pretty good job of keeping themselves from doing anything with the ball last week.
But Sam Martin certainly helped.
The Lions punter was named NFC special teams player of the week after keeping the shackles on the Eagles on Thanksgiving.
He had a great net day punting, with the Eagles only managing 3 return yards. But he also kept them from having a chance to do anything on kickoffs, burying eight of them for touchbacks.
Again, the Eagles were having sufficient problems on offense and defense, but failed to get any kind of spark from their special teams thanks to Martin and the Lions.
