Earlier this week, Falcons coach Dan Quinn said that the team anticipated getting running back Devonta Freeman back in the lineup for this week’s game against the Buccaneers and one of Freeman’s teammates said Tuesday night that there’s nothing standing in Freeman’s way medically.

Wide receiver Roddy White was asked about Freeman’s status in the concussion protocol on Sirius XM Fantasy Sports Radio and said that the team’s leading rusher would be practicing on Wednesday and the rest of the week after recovering from the concussion that kept him out in Week 12.

“He’s cleared the concussion protocol so he will be good to go throughout practice all week,” White said.

Freeman had 88 rushing yards and 43 receiving yards in a Week Eight loss to the Bucs. The Falcons are also expected to have kick returner/wide receiver Devin Hester in the lineup for the first time this season. Hester has been on injured reserve with the designation to return because of a toe injury.
