Jon Bon Jovi: Rumors of my interest in buying Titans are just that

When the Bills were up for sale following Ralph Wilson’s death, Jon Bon Jovi was part of a group interested in bidding on the team.

Terry and Kim Pegula wound up buying the franchise, but a report from Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports over the weekend said that Bon Jovi never said goodbye to the prospect of becoming an NFL owner. LaCanfora reported that Bon Jovi “would have considerable interest” in the Titans if Bud Adams’s heirs decided to shift gears and put the team on the market.

Bon Jovi responded to that report on Twitter Tuesday.

“Rumors of my interest in the TN Titans are nothing more than that,” Bon Jovi wrote. “I am not part of any group perusing a team that is not for sale.”

That doesn’t shoot the possibility that Bon Jovi would be interested in pursuing or perusing the Titans if they do become available through the heart or any other body part. You’d imagine that any team would catch the eye of an interested buyer since the opportunity to buy one doesn’t come around all that often. For now, though, the Titans aren’t for sale and Bon Jovi’s connection to Music City will remain on the musical side only.
