Report: Cary Williams visiting Titans

during the NFL game at Lambeau Field on September 20, 2015 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Veteran cornerback Cary Williams got released by the Seahawks early this week and his search for another job reportedly picked up on Thursday.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that Williams is visiting with the Titans. Tennessee lost Jason McCourty for the rest of the season last month due to a groin injury, leaving them with Perrish Cox, Coty Sensabaugh, Blidi Wreh-Wilson, Cody Riggs and B.W. Webb at the position.

Williams struggled on the field in 10 starts with the Seahawks, although he made off pretty well off of it by taking home $7 million after signing with Seattle in the offseason. The Titans group hasn’t been much better on the field, which makes it an area worth addressing this offseason beyond any short-term help they may think Williams can provide.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the Rams were also talking to Williams this week, although there’s been no word of a visit with the team to discuss jumping on board for the final weeks of the season.
