Revis practices fully, has to pass one more test to play

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis said Thursday that he’s playing against the Titans this weekend, but that’s not quite official yet.

There isn’t the same wiggle room for players in the concussion protocol that there is with other injuries, leaving Revis in need of clearance from a neurologist before he’ll be given the green light. Coach Todd Bowles said Friday that Revis practiced fully without wearing a red, no-contact jersey, but that there still needs to be final medical approval before he’ll be set to go.

“Pending that clearance, he’ll be good to go,” Bowles said, via NJ.com.

Assuming Revis gets the go-ahead, he’ll likely be squaring off with rookie Dorial Green-Beckham during Sunday’s game. The Titans have ruled out Kendall Wright, leaving Green-Beckham as the biggest threat in the Tennessee receiving corps a week after he had five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville.

Cornerback Marcus Williams is questionable due to the knee injury that left him on the sideline last week, but he was a participant in practice the last two days and that bodes well for his chances of returning.
