Patriots lose more offensive personnel, LeGarrette Blount this time

The Patriots have taken hit after hit on offense this year.

This one will be tough to patch.

Running back LeGarrette Blount just left the field, as athletic trainers were working on his left leg, before heading to the locker room. He’s been ruled questionable to return with a hip problem.

Blount gives their offense some sense of ballast, at a time when Tom Brady doesn’t know from week to week who he might be throwing the ball to.

Without him, the Patriots will have James White and Brandon Bolden in the backfield, since they lost Dion Lewis for the season, among all their other injuries.

But Blount’s the kind of workhorse back that’s hard to replace, and the Patriots will have to adjust their plan unless he’s able to return.
