Adrian Peterson heads to the locker room with an ankle injury

Hannah Foslien

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson limped off the field and headed to the locker room late in the second quarter today against the Bears.

Peterson suffered an apparent ankle injury. Although he was able to walk off the field without assistance, he was clearly in pain.

Earlier in the game, Peterson had suffered a shoulder injury, but that did not appear to be serious.

Despite losing Peterson, the Vikings have played well and lead the Bears 17-7 just before halftime.
