Packers bring Andrew Quarless back from IR

The Green Bay Packers offense has struggled for much of the past eight games. They’ll now be getting some more help on that side of the ball.

The team has announced that tight end Andrew Quarless has been activated from short-term injured reserve. The Packers created the roster spot by putting receiver Ty Montgomery on season-ending injured reserve.

The Packers placed Quarless on the one-per-team-per-year IR-with-return list in late September, after he suffered a knee injury against the Chiefs. In his absence, tight end Richard Rodgers has emerged as a viable threat in the passing game.
