Robert Nkemdiche’s brother hospitalized in latest odd twist

AP

The strange tale of Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche continues to take turns, and he may or may not be hospitalized right now.

According to WAPT 16 in Mississippi, either Nkemdiche or his brother Denzel has been rushed to the hospital, though the university would not specify which one.

Denzel Nkemdiche, a senior linebacker, was dismissed from the Ole Miss football team previously. Robert was just suspended for the Sugar Bowl, and subsequently declared for the draft.

Denzel was hospitalized last month, though no reason was given.

Robert was merely arrested for marijuana possession after falling from a fourth-story hotel room window.

Robert’s a possible top-10 pick in next year’s draft, but the constant attention for his off-field activities is going to make him perhaps the most-studied player in this year’s class.

UPDATE 11:17 a.m. ET: According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Denzel Nkemdiche is the one who has been hospitalized.

why all he bashing? he’s a kid and has made mistakes. it is unknown if its even Robert that was hospitalized for #1 and #2 theres no info as to why the person was hospitalized yet individuals are quick to paint him guilty of wrong-doing…pretty sad actually

worse comes to worse he still gets drafted and makes more money than those who are running their yaps and bad mouthing him

I think we can pump the breaks on Nkemdiche going in the top half of the first round. Talent-wise he’s looking more like a late first rounder at best and that’s not even factoring in the nut job issue.

so it wasn’t Robert who was hospitalized…..haters gonna hate I suppose!

The way his draft status is sinking he’ll probably have made more money at Ole Miss than he ever will in the NFL.

People beat me to it. First impression is that they are Rex Ryan non-championship kind of guys or would generate Cowboys and vikings type news stories.

I wonder how this violates HIPAA

i just can’t see Robert going in the top 10 picks. I can see he has the talent. But Josh Gordon, Justin Blackmon, and Dion Jordan are perfect examples that talent don’t necessarily trump all. If you can’t get on the field talent don’t mean squat. and fake weed c’mon bro half that stuff worse than the real deal.
