The Browns have placed veteran wide receiver Andrew Hawkins on injured reserve.
Hawkins suffered his second concussion of the season last month in Pittsburgh. He was hospitalized overnight for observation after being hit by Steelers linebacker Jarvis Jones following an interception.
Linebacker Jayson DiManche was promoted from the practice squad to fill the open roster spot. He appeared in one game for the Browns earlier in the season before being waived and spent the last two seasons with the Bengals.
The Browns signed Hawkins away from the Bengals as a restricted free agent in 2014. He had 27 receptions in eight games this season after recording 63 receptions, two for touchdowns, last season.
