Cardinals take lead, B.J. Raji to locker room for concussion evaluation

at Lincoln Financial Field on December 20, 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Rich Schultz

The Cardinals and Packers went through the first 15 minutes of Sunday’s game without any points hitting the scoreboard.

Arizona changed that less than a minute into the second quarter. Carson Palmer hit Larry Fitzgerald for a three-yard touchdown to give themselves a 7-0 lead as they try for their ninth straight victory.

The drive started at midfield after Packers wide receiver Jeff Janis was flagged for a facemask on the punt that turned the ball over to the Cardinals. Palmer hit John Brown and David Johnson for first downs to set up Fitzgerald’s eighth touchdown of the year.

That penalty wasn’t the only negative for the Packers as the Cardinals made their way to the end zone. Defensive tackle B.J. Raji is in the locker room being evaluated for a concussion after taking a shot to the head from safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix while the two men were converging on a tackle.
