DeAndre Hopkins can get it done with anyone at QB (and has)

Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is having a near-record season, but he’s also done it with the same quarterback, who is usually pretty good.

But Texans wideout DeAndre Hopkins may be having the most impressive individual season at his position, because of who he’s had to work with — or how many.

Via Chris Wesseling of NFL Media, the league has confirmed that Hopkins is the first quarterback to record 100-yard games with four different starting quarterbacks in the same season.

Being able to work so well with Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett, T.J. Yates and Brandon Weeden speaks to the work Hopkins is doing, emerging as one of the top receivers in the game.

Of course, that also puts him on a parallel career path to veteran Andre Johnson, who the Texans let go this offseason after he did so much good work with such an odd lot, only to hear him talk about finally getting to work with a top-shelf quarterback in Andrew Luck.

Hopkins is able to win one-on-ones with just about any cornerback in the league, such that he sees very much one-on-one coverage. He has 104 catches for 1,432 yards and 11 touchdowns this year, and the fact he doesn’t have much help on offese (with Arian Foster missing most of the year) makes it that much more impressive.
