The Browns have added Pat Devlin as their emergency quarterback for Sunday’s season finale vs. the Steelers.
Austin Davis will start after Johnny Manziel was placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol on Wednesday. Earlier Thursday, Browns coach Mike Pettine officially ruled Manziel out.
Devlin spent the end of the preseason with the Browns after Manziel suffered an elbow injury that kept him out of the final two preseason games. Devlin has previously spent time with the Dolphins and Vikings.
Linebacker Jayson DiManche was waived to create a roster spot for Devlin.
