Getty ImagesUniversity of California quarterback Jared Goff is expected to declare his intentions to enter the NFL Draft on Thursday, according to Joe Schad of ESPN.com.
And once he has, Goff could very likely be the top quarterback prospect in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Goff will declare his intentions at a 10 a.m. PT press conference on Thursday morning.
Goff passed for 4,719 yards, 43 touchdowns and 13 interceptions as a junior at Cal this season. He had at least two touchdowns in every game he played this season. Goff twice had six touchdowns in a game, against Oregon State in November and in Tuesday’s 55-35 victory over Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl.
In three season at Cal, Goff threw for 12,200 yards with 96 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.
Excellent! This kid has all the tools you need to be successful in the NFL, and Im excited to see him catapult himself into the upper echelon within short order.
He really is that good. The NFL will be a better product with his inclusion. That being said, it would be incredibly beneficial if he went into a program that would let him sit for a year or two.
Now lets speculate for 4 months.
Seems to have made up his mind pretty quick. Yesterday’s post game interview after his team’s win he told the interviewer that he “was going to go home and take some time to talk to his parents about turning pro.” Maybe by “time” he meant talk to them about it for 10 seconds instead of 5. Lol
I really liked watch Goff play. He has the chance to be something special.

I predict he will go to a team that needs a quarterback. I got that from Mel Kiper’s inside scoop.
Yeah, Da’ Santa Clara 49’ers will be drafting the next Ryan Leaf when they draft Goff! Another Baalke mistake!
Would love to see him in Chicago but the Bears won a couple meaningless games pushing their pick to low to grab him.
Subway Jared, you probably recognize him from behind the counter. “Would you like that on plain, whole wheat, or multi-grain?”. That’s the guy.
Phins should draft him lol
Do they offer Drafted-by-the-Browns insurance yet?
Welcome to the Dallas Cow… oh wait. Jerry isn’t smart enough to draft the future after Romo finally shatters into a million pieces next year.
Bust
Let’s see what happens when he has play against a team that plays defense

I totally agree. That would be the QB we’ve been looking for for the last 20 yrs. Maybe we can trade 6 and move up to grab him. Anythings possible.
Please God let the Cowboys draft him!
