The Bills signed four players to contract extensions Monday and signed seven players from their practice squad to futures contracts.

Wide receiver Greg Salas, who would have been eligible for unrestricted free agency, signed an extension after just joining the Bills in mid-December. The team also extended exclusive rights free agents Mike Gillislee, Mario Butler and Colton Schmidt.

Gillislee got extended time at running back in December and played well, rushing for three touchdowns. Schmidt has been the Bills’ punter for two seasons, and Butler played in 13 games at cornerback last season.

Offensive linemen Cyril Richardson and Ronald Patrick, safeties Phillip Thomas and Jonathan Dowling, tight ends Blake Annen and Jacob Maxwell and defensive end Cedric Reed signed futures contracts.
