The Eagles continue to look for a new head coach. And they’ve finalized their third interview since firing Chip Kelly a week ago.

The Eagles have announced that Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase was interviewed on Tuesday.

Gase, who drew rave reviews for getting the most out of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, is being pursued by the Eagles, Browns, Dolphins, and Giants. Gase previously served as offensive coordinator of the Broncos, helping the team get to Super Bowl XLVIII.

Gase will run for the hills when he experiences the philly attitude.

gase is overrated. no OC should take credit for success with pey tone mr HGH as qb.

eagles should decide between shurmur or Pederson. reality is hc won’t be a heavy hitter with big demands, as basic constraint is to be collaborative ie work with howitzer roseman

    Eagles should hire Dick Vermeil.

What is his portfolio? Da Bears??? What the hell did they do this year on offense? Just might be sifting thru the process.

Wow that’s so clever, funny, witty and …oh wait

Jeffrey needs to get rid of his boy-toy Howie and hire Jaws as GM. Then sign McDermott as HC (even though they’re clearly looking for an offensively minded coach) and keep Shurmur as OC. If Shurmur stays, Bradford will stay. Draft an OL and sign a free agent to get him the protection he needs. Add a veteran free agent WR and Bradford will shine. He’s established some fluidity with Matthews & Ertz through the last few games. The dude got beat up all season and got up time and time again, while throwing accurate passes. If they WRs caught the ball his numbers would look much better. Pair that with a system that fits his skill set with the I formation and option to audible. This division is wide open… fix a few holes and it’s ours again #bleedgreen

Eagles deserve to be in the same class as the Titans, Bucs, Raiders, Rams and redskins. All loser teams.

Uncle Joe Banner was on Mike & Mike. Took his shots on Kelly and the organizational structure where the HC reports to the owner and has to collaborate with the front office. The current Eagle model. Lurie needs a real GM and coach. Not spybot Howie.

It is amazing to me that when an article about ANY of the Coaching Candidates is mentioned for ANY of the Teams in need you guys come in here and make negative comments.

Not one of you is even a Janitor for these NFL Organizations and yet you know so much about the business? Heck, most of you don’t even understand the game itself. Give it rest.. just because you have an internet connection and a keyboard does not make you Qualified GM. FYI: Gase will be hired no matter what. He is the hot name this year with Payton and Pagano out of the running. Shula, McDaniel and Patrice as well. Get over yourselves!

I hope they either hire McDermott or Shurmur as head coach. They need somebody that can deal with the Philadelphia media and fans.

I’d be happy with Gase, but he’s a risk. Honestly, if we can’t get Chucky from ESPN or Cowher, I’d want to go with Shurmur or Doug Pederson. Preferably the former. Both know the organization and Shurmur could keep many of the good things Chip did while actually possessing people skills and working with the Golden Boy, Roseman.

Shurmur may be a good fit.

Now that’s original. Must have taken some deep thought and lots of hard work to come up with that name.

You’re right most of us aren’t qualified to make important football decisions, but many of us are probably more qualified than the people who are actually making them. How long before the average coach gets fired? Many coaches are fired after one year. So many of us have more football knowledge than the Jed York’s and the Jeffrey Lurie’s of the world, even if we know very little. Hurry now. Run out and hire Charlie Weis before someone else does. You chuckwagon.

What philly attitude? That we want to win? If gase doesn’t care about winning, then go coach Tennessee. No one cares about that franchise anyway. I just assumed everyone wants to win, and if that’s the case he will be fine in philly. If a coach can’t handle an involved fan base, then maybe he isn’t cut out for this.

  21. corky2141 says: Jan 5, 2016 8:45 PM

My thought, which doesn’t really matter, would be that Gase chooses NY Giants. They have Manning & Odell & probably the best owners out of the group of available gigs.

  22. bassplucker says: Jan 5, 2016 9:18 PM

What sucks for Bears fans is we play the NFC East next sesson. If he signs with either the Giants or Eagles we’re screwed cause he’ll give them the whole book on Cutler and he knows Fangio’s D too.

  23. jetfan74 says: Jan 5, 2016 9:25 PM

I’m with Corky on this one. Gase to NY makes the most sense. Heck, maybe big brother comes on board to run the offense? I’m sure Gase has a spot available for Peyton wherever he chooses to go, but this one has tv ratings written all over it and it just might work. Knock Gase all you want but he got solid production out of a Bears offense that lacked talent for most of the season. Just got to find the right man to run the D!!

    I’m hoping for McDermott

  25. bobbyhoying says: Jan 5, 2016 9:56 PM

Howie and Jeff are already developing a plan to fire Gase.

  26. rcali says: Jan 5, 2016 9:59 PM

Why is he going to bother interviewing for the Browns when he has all these other places he could go? I mean, don’t get me wrong, the Browns job is the best job out there. Sign a contract for 4-5 years, work two.

McDermott, McDermott, McDermott keep Shurmar as OC they’ll Throw up 30pts a game. Draft O-Line, LB, WR and CB depth.

Eagles should stun the NFL and rehire Chip Kelly!
