The Dolphins confirmed Wednesday that they have interviewed Anthony Lynn for their head coaching job.

Lynn is the running backs coach and assistant head coach in Buffalo.

Lynn, 46, played six years in the NFL and has been a full-time coach since 2003. He interviewed with the Jets last year but ended up following Rex Ryan from the Jets to the Bills.

The Dolphins previously interviewed Mike Smith and Mike Shanahan and have interviews scheduled with Adam Gase and Hue Jackson.

Hue Jackson is the right man for the Dolphins. He’s hungry, is a leader, and will push Tannehill more than Philbin/Sherman/Lazor have ever done. After reading about him and Andy Dalton, he’ll be Tannehill’s biggest supporter but will critique every facet of his game until he reaches his potential.

Only this is the second black coaching candidate the Phins have interviewed. Stop it.

    Go Phins!

It’s about time the Dolphins hire someone with head coaching experience.

Philbin, Sparano, Cameron, Saban… NONE had ever been an NFL head coach. That’s 9 years of “flash in the pan” selections by our clueless ownership. I’m tired of it. Ross makes it really hard to stick with them and I haven’t even gotten into the farce that is having Mike Tannenbaum around to make all of our terrible draft picks and signings yet having the “GM” take the fall.

Hire Mike Shanahan or Tom Coughlin NOW. My fellow Dolphins fans seem to hate the idea of Shanny but why? He drafted Kirk Cousins, Jordan Reed, Trent Williams and Ryan Kerrigan and brought in Pierre GarΓ§on and DeAngelo Hall during his time in Washington. He’s an A1 talent evaluator. Give him the reins and give Tannenbaum the boot (though I don’t think Ross will do that).

Do the right thing for once, Stephen. For all your billions, you can’t hire a staff to save your life.

If anything, Rooney Rule get’s some guys names out there. If they’re not qualified yet, gives these coaches some head coach interview experience. A lot of coaches not being asked to interview so it still means you got somebody’s eye.
