The Texans apparently saw enough from Devon Still in last week’s workout to want to bring him back.
According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans signed Still today to a future contract for next season.
Still hasn’t played in the league this year since being released by the Bengals. He’s become known mostly as Leah’s dad, after his daughter’s inspirational battle with cancer. Leah Still’s in remission now, and her father is close to getting back to work.
Still was a solid defensive tackle for the Bengals in three seasons. He was a second-round pick out of Penn State, though he left there before Texans coach Bill O’Brien took over.
