Dashon Goldson, Matt Jones listed as questionable

The Redskins didn’t rule anyone out of Sunday’s game against the Packers when they handed in their final injury report of the week on Friday, but they did list four players as questionable to play.

Safety Dashon Goldson, running back Matt Jones, linebacker Perry Riley and cornerback Quinton Dunbar are the players with uncertain outlooks for the Wild Card round. Coach Jay Gruden sounded pessimistic Friday about Jones’ chances of playing through the hip injury that kept him on the sideline the last two weeks.

“I’m not ruling him out yet,” Gruden said, via the team. “But, he didn’t do much today. Did a little bit and ran around just a little bit, but we’ll see tomorrow, but not very encouraged, no.”

Goldson sat out last week with shoulder and rib issues, but that was seen as a precaution to make sure he’d be able to go this weekend. Riley has missed five games after foot surgery and the defense has gotten good play from Mason Foster and Will Compton in his absence. Dunbar missed last weekend with a quad injury.

Defensive end Jason Hatcher, wide receiver DeSean Jackson and left tackle Trent Williams were all listed as probable.

Does it matter? They’re not winning anyway.

    Exactly what..pocketsstraight says:

Will not Tom, and if you think Dashon Goldston isn’t playing, you’d better think twice, sometimes I think this injury report deal is just a sham!

Win or lose, I will still be happy with this season. This team is playing with house money. This off season will be fun to watch. Scotty Mac will bring Cousins back and he will still have ample cap space to upgrade at a few positions. We also have ALL of our draft picks. This team will win the East again next season going away.

Proud? The Eagles imploded due to dysfunction and the Giants gave away 9 games. You should feel lucky, not proud.

So, if both teams were better they would have won Capt. Obvious? What deep insights do you have about the Cowboys?

As a Redskins fan, I’m soooo happy the Giants “gave” away 9 games this year. I’m so grateful for the juggernaut organization that only loses because they choose to give away games to the opponent. Thank you godly New York Giants for gifting the lowly Redskins a playoff seed. Send my regards to your head football coa–
    Oh, never mind.

Say what you will about the NFC East, but the Redskins earned the division by winning games at the end of the season that they had to win and by playing their best football.

No, I do not think they will go very far in the playoffs but who even thought they would be in the playoffs?

    HTTR !
