There’s no question that Khalil Mack was a force for the Raiders defense in his second season.

There was some question for All-Pro voters whether he should be considered a defensive end or a linebacker, but that didn’t get in the way of him being voted to the first team. Twice.

The Associated Press announced that Mack has been voted to the first team at both positions. Other players have made the first team at one position and the second team at another, but Mack is the first to make the first team at multiple spots.

Mack had 77 tackles, 15 sacks and two forced fumbles while starting all 16 games this season.

J.J. Watt is one of those players who have split votes between positions in the past, but everyone considered him a defensive end this year and they all voted for the only unanimous selection on the defensive side of the ball. The Texans star has made the All-Pro team four straight years and is a good bet to win his third defensive player of the year award.

Had the Texans opted for Mack instead of Jadeveon Clowney in the 2014 draft, Watt and Mack would be sharing a field. Should Mack keep playing the way he did in 2015, he may join Watt as a winner of that award in the next few years.
