The Titans interviewed their second former NFL General Manager as they search for Ruston Webster’s replacement continued on Thursday.
The team announced that former Broncos General Manager Ted Sundquist completed an interview with the team. Former Lions General Manager Martin Mayhew was the first candidate to speak with the team this week.
Sundquist started working for the Broncos in 1992 and got promoted to General Manager in 2002, which was the first of five straight winning seasons in Denver. Sundquist traded Clinton Portis for Champ Bailey and moved up in the draft to select Jay Cutler in memorable moves during that period, but saw his time with the team come to an end after the 2007 season. He’s interviewed with several teams since then and spent some time writing for this website since leaving the Broncos.
The Titans also announced that they interviewed Giants vice president of player evaluation Marc Ross. Ross has interviewed for several General Manager openings in recent years.
Buccaneers exec Jon Robinson and Jaguars exec Chris Polian are expected to interview on Friday.
