Foot injury will keep Clowney out vs. Chiefs

A foot injury will keep Texans’ pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney out of Saturday’s wild card game vs. the Chiefs, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported.

Clowney had been listed as questionable with a foot injury suffered two weeks ago that also kept him out of the Texans’ regular-season finale.

Clowney was a limited participant in practice Thursday but did not participate in a Friday walkthrough. Wilson reported that John Simon will start in his place.

Clowney recorded 4.5 sacks in 13 games this season.
