Clete Blakeman, Tony Corrente, Terry McAulay and Craig Wrolstad will be the referees handling this weekend’s Divisional Round playoffs games, according to FootballZebras.com.
The biggest caveat is that the officials that will be working Super Bowl 50 will come from the crews working this weekend.
Wrolstad will be in charge of Saturday afternoon’s Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots game in Foxborough. Blakeman will handle the Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals game on Saturday night.
On Sunday, Corrente (pictured) will be the lead official for the Seattle Seahawks at Carolina Panthers game. McAulay will work the Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos game on Sunday afternoon.
With McAulay having worked Super Bowl XLVIII two years ago and Wrolstad in just his second season as a head referee, that could indicate that Blakeman or Corrente are the favorites for getting the duty on Super Bowl Sunday.
Corrente was the referee for Super Bowl XLI between the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears. Blakeman has never worked the Super Bowl, but was McAulay’s alternate in Super Bowl XLVIII.
McAulay was the head referee for Super Bowl XLVIII, XLIII and XXXIX.
Wrolstad worked as a field judge in Super Bowl XLVII before being promoted to head referee in 2014.
