The Giants are “closing in” on a deal with Ben McAdoo to make their offensive coordinator their new head coach, per multiple reports.

Art Stapleton of The Record cited a source in saying the the Giants and McAdoo were closing in on a deal. A similar report from Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News said the same but added “it’s not a done deal yet.”

Stapleton’s report called McAdoo “an internal favorite from the start.” McAdoo, 38, has been the Giants’ offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

The job is open because Tom Coughlin stepped down earlier this month. McAdoo also interviewed with the Eagles.

The Giants were set to interview Hue Jackson Thursday but Jackson accepted the Browns’ head coaching job on Wednesday.
