Panthers clobbering Seahawks at halftime 31-0

Russell Wilson has pulled off some pretty impressive comebacks in his career.

He’s never pulled anything like what he’d have to do today.

The Panthers are destroying the Seahawks in the first half of their divisional round game, up 31-0 at the break.

But at this point, invoking their Nov. 3, 2013 comeback against the Buccaneers (down by 21, won 27-24) seems such a reach.

The Panthers dominance in the first half has been complete, allowing just 123 yards and seven first downs, with no rushing game to speak of. Marshawn Lynch has 12 yards on five carries in the first half, and he may not get many more chances to run the ball.

The Panthers have given up some leads, sort of. In Week 15, they were up 35-7 on the Giants before allowing New York to come back and tie it, a game they eventually won 38-35.

But that seems like a long time ago, with Cam Newton dealing and their defense keeping the wraps on Wilson.
