Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is one of the best passers in the league at getting the ball away quickly to avoid pressure, but Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller thinks he can collapse the pocket in time to hit Brady on Sunday.
Asked today about Brady needing just two seconds per pass in last week’s game against the Chiefs, Miller said that would be enough time for him to do some damage.
“You said two seconds? Sometimes I only need one,” Miller said with a laugh.
Miller acknowledged that facing Brady is a tough test, but he believes it’s a test the Broncos’ defense is up to.
“It’s quick, we’re just going to have to be tight in the secondary and that little window we get, we have to get there,” Miller said. “No excuses, we just have to get there, plain and simple.”
Whether Miller and his teammates can get to Brady quickly will go a long way toward determining which team gets to the Super Bowl.
