Elway: Chris Harris will be a game-time decision

The Broncos listed 11 players on their Wednesday injury report and all of them were full participants in their first training session of the week.

Not all of them are a sure thing to play against the Patriots on Sunday, however.

During an appearance on ESPN, Broncos General Manager John Elway said that cornerback Chris Harris will be a game-time decision on Sunday afternoon. Harris has been dealing with a shoulder injury for the last few weeks and said after last Sunday’s game that he was playing with one arm due to the injury.

Harris played 75 percent of the snaps on defense, which was a season low for him. It was still a healthy portion of the game, however, and you’d imagine the Broncos are going to do everything they can to get Harris on the field even if it means that he’ll need to be spotted more often than normal circumstances would dictate.

Elway is the head coach now?

  2. wte1 says: Jan 21, 2016 2:58 PM

Looked like he could barely lift his left arm yesterday in practice.

    Go Patriots!

of course he’ll play. love the gamesmanship.

  6. hallforpresident says: Jan 21, 2016 3:06 PM

Won’t matter if harris plays, the broncos are doomed to lose by their offense, or lack thereof. This could get ugly…

  7. quizlingclinic says: Jan 21, 2016 3:09 PM

He will play, but if he looks like last week he and Denver will be torched. Pats are the best team in the league in YAC. A key to beating them is tackling in the secondary. 1-armed corners aren’t going to get it done.

And after giving the update, he went back to his bucket of oats.

  9. patsfiend says: Jan 21, 2016 3:10 PM

    Thanks for the update, coach.

Trying the Big Ben play, everyone knows he’s going to play, no one is going to believe that report.

  11. weepingjebus says: Jan 21, 2016 3:19 PM

Belichick should list Harris on his own injury report just to make people’s heads explode.

  12. jcmeyer10 says: Jan 21, 2016 3:28 PM

I thought Talib was supposed to the corner who misses the big game.

  13. nflequalswwe says: Jan 21, 2016 3:40 PM

Before reporting Chris’ status Elway was overheard asking “Can you play Chris? Yay or neigh?”…

  14. tylawspick6 says: Jan 21, 2016 3:53 PM

“bucket of oats” comment above, hands down the winner.

  15. Mo Pro Babble says: Jan 21, 2016 4:05 PM

Why is there an injury report? Does anyone believe anything teams report?

    Oh yeah, Gambling.

    It’s nothing a little HGH can’t fix.

  19. bullcharger says: Jan 21, 2016 4:32 PM

Why is Elway talking to the media about a player’s injury status? That seems a bit dysfunctional.

  20. TeeHeeLOLatPatsHaters says: Jan 21, 2016 4:36 PM

Did they interview him in the stall or out munching on grass?

  21. quizlingclinic says: Jan 21, 2016 4:39 PM

The Broncos can’t seem to stop talking this week. It’s very strange. Must be a case of hoof in mouth disease.

    .
John ” horseface ” Elway – originally drafted by the Colts, then traded to the Broncos. Coincidence? I think not.

Elway sure is making this GM stuff look easy. It ain’t that easy. Elway is a football genius. Don’t go running out and try to hire a former QB to run your team. It won’t work. Elway is exceptional. He understands the game on a different level. He grew up in a football household, much like Jim Harbaugh’s did. These guys aren’t just ex-players, trying to hang around. They’re outstanding football guys that just so happened to be good enough to play the game, before their real careers got started.

  24. 8oneanddones says: Jan 21, 2016 4:51 PM

Nothing but respect for Harris. His story is very similar to Malcolm Butler’s story, and you don’t hear him jawing like some of his defensive teammates.

  25. 8oneanddones says: Jan 21, 2016 4:54 PM

    —————————–

Basically, yeah, he’s the coach/GM/proxy owner all in one. He runs the show here in Denver and loves control.

There’s a reason he hired the man who sat behind him on the depth chart.

  26. redrew says: Jan 21, 2016 5:04 PM

Harris using his free time to sharpen his shoulder pads to blast the knees of unsuspecting pass catchers….the Broncos Way…dirtiest team in the NFL.

  27. revren10 says: Jan 21, 2016 5:10 PM

Since bronco players will be going after Gronks knees, I guess Pats players should be looking to go after harris bad shoulder.

  28. edon8334 says: Jan 21, 2016 5:18 PM

i want the broncos to win but i think they’ll get destroyed:/

Quiet simpletons the GOAT is speaking. Try to learn something.

  32. redrew says: Jan 21, 2016 5:36 PM

When asked about Bronco threats to go after Patriot knees, the NFL issued 4 “no comments” in the past 2 hours (Jeff Howe…Boston Herald).
In other knews, a Pittsburg WR was fined $10,000 for wearing a wrong colored glove

  33. harrisonhits2 says: Jan 21, 2016 5:36 PM

Gotta feel for the guy. Probably the biggest game of his career so far and he either may not play or will be playing with a significant injury.

Though as a Pats fan with all the injuries we have I’m not going feel bad about the Donks as a whole not having this player if he can’t go or is less than 100%

Couldn’t raise his arm in last weeks game and he is a 100% patricapant, ya if Broncos aren’t cheating the injury report this week I have a bridge to sell you

  36. hang3xc says: Jan 21, 2016 7:07 PM

LOL. He’ll be out there. How effective remains to be seen. If he isn’t, expect Brady to notice and attack any weakness.

  37. plum54 says: Jan 21, 2016 7:45 PM

Gysot: you are confused. Tom Brady the GOAT was not speaking, it was Cheat the salary cap Elway.

  38. meanjimbeam says: Jan 21, 2016 8:01 PM
