We haven’t seen tight end Kellen Winslow on a football field since he was with the Jets in 2013, but it appears Winslow isn’t ready to give up on hopes of returning to action.

Winslow has shared videos of workouts on his Twitter account over the last few weeks and added one on Wednesday that helped make it clear that his exercise regimen isn’t just designed to keep him in good health as he gets older.

“I’m putting my life’s work into this comeback. #LoveDaGame #NFL,” Winslow wrote.

A representative for Winslow confirmed with TMZ that the former first-round pick is working to get back on the field.

Winslow showed he had plenty of talent early in his career with the Browns and remained effective with the Buccaneers, but injuries and off-field issues helped slow him down quickly before he faded off the radar. He’ll turn 33 over the summer, which adds to the reasons why a Winslow comeback feels like a long shot.
