Patriots aren’t changing travel plans for weekend

Zz0xYzU3NTRmMmIyZTVlMWViYmE5ZWQ0N2FkMDM4MDdjZA== AP

With a supposedly massive, we’re-all-gonna-die snowstorm bearing down on the East Coast, the Patriots are making no special travel plans in advance of Sunday’s game.

Per the team, the plan remains to travel to Denver on Friday; snow is not expected to be an issue in Massachusetts  until Saturday or Sunday. Even then, the snow is not expected to be as big of a problem in that area as it will be farther south.

In Denver, temperatures are expected to be in the low 40s, with no precipitation. In Charlotte, the forecast for Sunday current anticipates partly cloudy skies, with a high of 36.

It means that, barring a freak snowstorm in Santa Clara for the Super Bowl, there will have been one true snow game for the entire season — the first meeting between the Patriots and Broncos, on Sunday Night Football.

It’d be funny if they got snowed in because of this decision and they had to play the game on a Tuesday night…in Detroit.

    Denver warmer than Charlotte? Wow.

  3. welltobefair says: Jan 21, 2016 5:18 PM

Yo…this game is being played in Denver, so let’s get a weather report from there instead of Foxboro…

  4. coltcountrysteelerfan says: Jan 21, 2016 5:21 PM

So if they get snowed in do they forfeit the game?

  5. skawh says: Jan 21, 2016 5:21 PM

Fine. Get iced in and NE loses by default. No game delays for your cheating team Robert Kraft,

From up there, in the article you didn’t read:

Overly ORANGE with a chance of blowout!

welltobefair the story includes one. Once again we see that while reading is fundamental comprehension is, sadly, optional.

Oh look another trolling 12, how hard it must be now that they will have to spread their venomous trolling tears across 2 fan bases since Carolina sent them packing this year. We should have no doubt they will manage though, after all a year later they are still crying about the Pats.

  16. fanofpft says: Jan 21, 2016 6:27 PM

Better keep the jets tires inflated.

It’s a shame that your hatred of the World Champions is counting on them being snowed in.

Chess is talking about Seattle fans still crying about the game last year yet patriot fans whine and cry about the Colts on every single article that isn’t even related to the Colts on a story that is a year old. Yet another hypocrite post from a patriot fan, who is shocked

  20. ikeclanton says: Jan 21, 2016 7:36 PM

No Patriots fan whines about the Colts beating us, because that’s laughable.

It’s about the illegal sting operation they nefariously conducted that got Brady convicted in the court of public opinion before it was proven to be a farce. You may have heard tell of it this past year.

  21. icebowler says: Jan 21, 2016 8:09 PM

The real weather story is the ice and snow in Charlotte on Friday and Friday night. The already bad field could be a real big mess. Large scale electrical outages are also a possibility.

  22. nbptma1 says: Jan 21, 2016 8:18 PM

Hey, we’re in New England. I think we know something about snow. R-E-L-A-X

Not that one could expect a dolts fan to appreciate the difference since they are in no position to mock anyone but there’s a heck of a big difference between the crying that trolls do and the mocking that winning fans are in a position to do. Check the record ethelmermen, many of us have been mocking the pretty ponies for a lot longer than a year, tanking not one but two seasons to get franchise QB’s and having to pump fake crowd noise (into a dome no less) will do that. Throw in the great wussification your owner and former GM foisted on the rest of the league and it’s amazing that every fan base in the league doesn’t share the contempt.

  24. cueghost says: Jan 21, 2016 8:34 PM

Actually, there are snow “flurries” forecast in Denver for Sunday afternoon, for whatever that’s worth.

When do the Cardinals travel to Charlotte? All flights at the airport here have been cancelled tomorrow. Supposed to be really nasty here all day Friday into Saturday.

According to USA Today, Cardinals planning to travel to Charlotte on Saturday.

Cards plans are unchanged. They are leaving AZ Saturday morning and should arrive after the storm has rolled out

  29. bobbymase says: Jan 21, 2016 9:34 PM

High for Charlotte is 45. Where did 36 come from?

  30. kingpel says: Jan 21, 2016 9:36 PM

The NFL is just itching to move these games into Monday and Tuesday night prime time.

  31. sidelinecameraman says: Jan 21, 2016 10:37 PM

The plane is a charter jet it’ll be sitting in Providence probably tonight already. It’ll make it out Friday. It’s not like they are flying regular commercial like I am and my flight tomorrow got cancelled out of Providence.

  32. icebowler says: Jan 21, 2016 11:54 PM

The Cardinals better hope that their hotel in Charlotte is either near the stadium or a hospital. If not, that hotel may have “unexplained issues”, preventing getting their power restored Saturday night;)

There is always controversy surrounding the patriots more than likely it’s because of different excuses hiding their cheating. I can’t wait to see what stories Goodell comes up with next to protect his bf Kraft.

  34. pats1218 says: Jan 22, 2016 12:26 PM

You still think Kraft is Goodell’s BF??? What rock have you been hiding under this whole past year? In case you haven’t heard of something called “DeflateGate”…the big lie that’s been going on for this past full year…Goodell is no longer treating Kraft like even a casual friend, let alone like a BF. With “Friends” like that, who needs enemies?!? We should thank him, though, as he’s just given Brady, Belichick and the Pats, another reason to be PUMPED to WIN this game!
Can’t wait to see what the lying commish does, when he has to give the Patriots the Lombardi Trophy again this year…and is also forced to give Brady, not only the league’s MVP…but also the Super Bowl MVP again, too!! (And, another Truck!!). Don’t think he can skip the Super Bowl like he skipped the Pats’ Championship flag presentation and raising, during Game 1 this year…can he? Actually, it was better NOT to have him around during the Super Bowl flag raising, and would be nice to NOT have to see him at the Super Bowl, too!! Don’t see how the sports Commissioner can miss the biggest game of the year, the league’s Championship game, though…so it should be interesting. Prepare to eat a LOT of Crow on Super Bowl Sunday, Goodell!! GO PATS!!! GO TB12!!! GO BILL!!!
