Broncos expect Tom Brady to test Bradley Roby

As the least-experienced player in the Broncos’ base defense, nickel cornerback Bradley Roby may have a target on his chest today.

That’s the word from his teammate, cornerback Chris Harris, who says the Broncos believe Tom Brady will test Roby, the second-year player who played 56.8 percent of the Broncos’ defensive snaps this season. Although Roby is technically not usually listed as a starter, the Broncos’ most common defensive alignment is to have him on the field as the fifth defensive back along with Harris, Aqib Talib, Darian Stewart and T.J. Ward.

Harris told the Denver Post that Roby is the guy Brady will be looking for today.

“Brady is always going to test the young cats,” Harris said. “He’s always going to see what they’re doing.”

Which means the Broncos need Roby, their 2014 first-round pick, to be ready for the biggest game of his young career.

He’s going to get lit up

That statement would do Captain obvious proud. Brady tests every nickel corner, that’s the bread and butter of NE’s offense.

Thumbs up is you think Belichick will cheat more than 3 different ways today. Thumbs down if your thinking 5 or more different ways.

Brady will test the rookies. But he will also go after the veterans if he likes the matchup.

How about thumbs up if you think regardless of the outcome of this or any game chippy and the rest of the serial haters will remain delusional trolls the rest of their days and we will continue to share laughs at their expense?

Roby is a really talented player who’s showed up in big moments this year. As a Denver fan I have a lot of confidence in him for this game.

He will just do his usual four things that anti Patriots consider to be cheating….

    1) being smarter.
    2) having his team better prepared
    3) having the better QB
    4) building a better roster

Actually I hope not too much. Robey is under rated is why some sportswriter is speculating this. Yes he is young, but he does make some decent plays. I think it’s better if Brady spreads it around so they are kept guessing.

This is going to be a tough game. I am rooting for the Pats but nervously.

jchipwood, remind us what time your team is playing today? In fact remind us the last time they played in a championship game?

Wherever the soft spots are, Brady will find them. He isn’t great just because he finds someone to pick on.

I would also expect them to test the NFL rulebook multiple times today.
But hey, if the Broncos win it will only be because of Hochuli’s puppet strings, right Patriots fans? Keep those excuses handy.

I can’t speak for the Pats fans but right here it’s a Broncos fan I see lining up his excuses.

Roby saved the game last week, the person who gets tested most will be the one on Gronk.
