Broncos expect Tom Brady to test Bradley Roby

Buffalo Bills v Denver Broncos

Justin Edmonds

As the least-experienced player in the Broncos’ base defense, nickel cornerback Bradley Roby may have a target on his chest today.

That’s the word from his teammate, cornerback Chris Harris, who says the Broncos believe Tom Brady will test Roby, the second-year player who played 56.8 percent of the Broncos’ defensive snaps this season. Although Roby is technically not usually listed as a starter, the Broncos’ most common defensive alignment is to have him on the field as the fifth defensive back along with Harris, Aqib Talib, Darian Stewart and T.J. Ward.

Harris told the Denver Post that Roby is the guy Brady will be looking for today.

“Brady is always going to test the young cats,” Harris said. “He’s always going to see what they’re doing.”

Which means the Broncos need Roby, their 2014 first-round pick, to be ready for the biggest game of his young career.
