Cardinals have a pulse, Thomas Davis questionable to return

Wild Card Playoffs - Arizona Cardinals v Carolina Panthers Getty Images

The Cardinals started the comeback sooner than the Panthers are used to allowing it.

And they might be without a key piece of the defense which looked so stout early on.

Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis left the field with trainers holding his right arm, after a hit on Cardinals tight end Darren Fells. They’ve announced his return as questionable.

It’s hardly a coincidence the Cardinals responded with a touchdown drive, with David Johnson plowing in from 1 yard out to cut the Carolina lead to 17-7.

The Cardinals began moving the ball well on the ground, after missing a few chances deep early on. The Panthers are bringing pressure, and being without Davis complicates every facet of their plan.

Panthers are too tough for the Cards so far. They’re a monster on offense & defense.

Shin vs. forearm, bone to bone, shin wins. Hope it’s not broken. TD is the defensive MVP for the Panthers.

it’s rough being down 4 starters(tillman, allen, davis & harper) and our slot CB but as long as we can make up for the terrible #2 our defense should hold up. Losing Davis is still huge against the run game where Johnson started finding room without him there.

to bad for the man they affectionately call BM….

to bad for #11, he is from Minnesota, home of the wannabes and never have been.

Cardinals are a different team away from the desert. To win CONSISTENTLY, you have to win on the road.
