Friday’s fully-padded practice for the Carolina Panthers included something that the team doesn’t know how much the Super Bowl will entail: Noise.
As explained by Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers piped in extra decibels in order to prepare for whatever sounds may be coming from the stands at Levi’s Stadium.
“[We] don’t know how the crowd is going to react so we worked the crowd noise on both sides of the ball,” coach Ron Rivera said.
The Panthers used crowd noise throughout the week, uncertain as to whether the crowd in Santa Clara will favor Carolina or Denver during the game.
