Colts linebacker D’Qwell Jackson is being sued by a man he allegedly assaulted early last year.
Per the Indy Star, the suit stems from the Feb. 2015 incident during which Jackson allegedly assaulted a pizza delivery driver during a spat over a parking spot in Washington, D.C. The driver, Jose Bonilla-Fuentes, said Jackson threated his life and “tried to choke me.”
It sounds very much like something Jackson wishes would just go away, but a year after the incident and 10 months since Jackson first apologized to his teammates for it, it’s back in the news.
A non-jury trial on the assault charge is scheduled for March.
