Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller wants to win the Super Bowl on Sunday for himself, of course, but there are also three people in the locker room in particular he’d like to help get a ring.

Miller said today that his fellow outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, quarterback Peyton Manning and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips are the three people he’s most motivated to win for.

“I want to do it for DeMarcus and Peyton and Coach Phillips,” Miller said at Super Bowl Opening Night.

Ware has been in the NFL for 11 years, and this is his first Super Bowl. Manning is expected to retire after the season, and it would be fitting to see him ride off into the sunset with a Super Bowl title. Phillips has coached in the NFL for 40 years and doesn’t have a ring.

Miller said there’s a lot of camaraderie in the Broncos’ locker room, and so players feel like they’re playing for each other.

“It’s like a college atmosphere in our locker room,” Miller said. “We spend a lot of time together and I think that’s the glue that makes things go.”
