There was a report last month that the Texans are expected to part ways with running back Arian Foster this offseason thanks to the combination of his nearly $9 million cap hit and frequent injuries in recent seasons, including the torn Achilles that brought his 2015 season to an early end.

The Texans haven’t offered any hint about their plans, but coach Bill O’Brien said last week that Foster is “working hard to get back.” Foster can add a bit more work to his routine after a visit to the doctor at Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine that Foster captured on video and posted to Instagram.

“Today you start some light jogging,” the doctor tells Foster. “No pivoting, cutting, explosive activity. Strengthen all you want. Do your heel lift, elliptical, bike, jog. Surf. Maybe not surf.”

“Back against the wall once again,” Foster wrote as a caption for the video. “I live for s--- like this!!!! f--- “they”, we out here dreamin!”

Foster’s progress won’t do anything to change his cost under the cap and may not help him stick in Houston for the 2016 season, but his chances of landing somewhere should rise along with his return to speed in the coming months.
