Broncos practice squad safety Ryan Murphy was questioned by police Tuesday as part of a prostitution sting in San Jose, CBS News Bay Area reported.

Per the report, Murphy was not arrested but his brother was cited as part of a multi-agency effort to crack down on prostitution.

Super Bowl history says the police are looking for such things.

Murphy is a rookie who’s been on the Broncos practice squad since September. He was a seventh round pick of the Seahawks last spring.

The Broncos told reporters they’re aware of the incident but had no further comment.

Prostitution, like marijuana, should be legalized. And the NFL should get out of the morality policing business.

This ain’t about just football. It’s about NFL Brand and making money. The league can’t afford to turn potential customers away because it has law breaking players.

How in the world could somebody squander such a wonderful opportunity? What was he thinking?
