After spending most of 2015 as the Dolphins’ interim head coach, Dan Campbell has found a new job in New Orleans.

Campbell was added to the Saints’ staff as assistant head coach and tight ends coach, the team announced today. The addition of Campbell, which was announced today but reported weeks ago, gives the Saints a well-regarded assistant who succeeded at first in changing the culture in Miami, but ultimately failed to turn the team around after firing Joe Philbin.

The Saints have also hired Ronald Curry as an offensive assistant, Peter Giunta as senior defensive assistant, Aaron Glenn as secondary coach and Joe Lombardi as quarterbacks coach. Lombardi is beginning his second stint as the Saints’ quarterbacks coach; he also held that position before becoming the Lions’ offensive coordinator in 2014. The Lions fired Lombardi during the 2015 season.

In other changes to the Saints’ staff, Dennis Allen has officially become defensive coordinator on a permanent basis, Dan Roushar will serve as offensive line coach, Brian Young will serve as pass rush specialist and Brendan Nugent will serve as an offensive assistant.
