Bengals sign veteran CB Chykie Brown

The Bengals have signed veteran cornerback Chykie Brown.

Brown was out of the NFL last season but has 54 games of experience with the Ravens and Giants from 2011-14. He played in every game when the Ravens won the Super Bowl in the 2012 season.

He went to the Giants via waivers in 2014 and was cut by the Giants prior to the start of the 2015 season.

The Bengals also signed offensive tackle Darryl Baldwin, who was with the Ravens as an undrafted rookie last season. Baldwin is a developmental prospect who was a defensive end at Ohio State before the arrival of 2016 NFL Draft prospect Noah Spence, among others, pushed him to the offensive side of the ball.

Baldwin played one preseason game with the Ravens before being placed on the non-football illness list and eventually waived by the Ravens before the regular season.

Those pesky Bengals are stocking up for the stretch run.

Pacman Jones / coming to a waiver wire near you !

As a Ravens fan, I’d hardly call Chykie Brown a “veteran” cornerback.

Poor Chykie couldn’t find work in Baltimore after the first 25 guys on defense were IR’d.

    But one man’s trash, I guess…

Pretty sure you can’t waive a free agent

I`m still surprised by how many haters get on here just to say stupid stuff. Rosters go back to 90 so teams sign players.Acting like their getting rid of a CB who went to the Pro Bowl because they signed a guy nobody wanted this season just makes you look dumb.
Whether Pac Man resigns or not will have nothing to do with Brown.

What an idiot… the point is that the Ravens, who are familiar with his abilities and character, were really injured in their terrible secondary this past season, and no matter how bad it was, they never looked his way… so have fun with that “SB winning veteran”

Having experience with the Ravens, at least he’ll be used to the beat down he’ll get at the hands of the Steelers.

After this past season’s double clownstomping and last year’s WC humiliation, the Steelers sure don’t want to see any more ex-Ravens playing in the AFCN, that’s for sure. LOL.

I wonder what the prop bet odds are for what happens first – the Ravens don’t finish 3rd place only above the Browns, or Cin doesn’t lose a first-round playoff game. History shows that the lock pick would be ‘neither’. Though the browns are getting better…

The Ravens have as many post season wins in the last 2 years as Steelers and Bengals combined in the past 5 years. And the ravens didn’t even make it to the post season this year.

The Bengals have certainly outplayed the Ravens in the last two years. Steelers? Give me a break. One win in five games? Hahahahaha. What a joke. Both teams have gone to the Superbowl twice and come out limping and humiliated. Ravens go in there and always emerge with a Lombardi. Have a nice day.

Brown is a terrible CB but an above average special teamer.
