Falcons waive Mooney, Howard

The Falcons waived fullback Collin Mooney and cornerback Travis Howard Monday.

Howard broke into the league as an undrafted rookie with the Patriots in 2013 and has also spent time with the Giants. He has never played in a regular season game.

Mooney spent three seasons with the Titans on the practice squad and the active roster, playing in 14 games on special teams and in the backfield. He never played in a game with the Falcons.

    Mooning is a sensitive topic right now anyways.

    Playing with both Tennessee and Atlanta, Mooney must be very familiar with the menus at Shoneys and Waffle House.
