After Shaun King of the New York Daily News released the 74-page document from a defamation lawsuit filed against Peyton Manning in 2002, King said he would do no interviews until the alleged “victim” of Manning’s alleged misbehavior told her story. She hasn’t, but King has broken his silence anyway, at least on one occasion.
King appeared Tuesday on CBS Sports Radio with Doug Gottlieb. On Wednesday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio, three different clips were played and analyzed from King’s interview.

The story has now reached the point where, absent information about the 1994 incident that was redacted from the 74-page document or someone directly involved in the 1996 incident going on the record, there’s really nothing more to add. The allegations, if true, are troubling and disturbing. But with more than a decade passed since all claims arising from the various allegations were settled, there’s no way that the allegations will be resolved in court, unless and until something happens now that makes those occurrences from 1996 relevant 20 years after the fact.
