Panthers raise ticket prices for the third straight year

Most fans are willing to pay a little more for a good product than a bad one.

So it makes sense that after a third straight division title, the Panthers raised ticket prices for the third straight season.

Per Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review, the Panthers have raised prices on two-thirds of the seats at Bank of America Stadium between $5 and $12. That moves the range of non-premium seats from $48 to $195.

The Panthers are informing fans of the price hikes in renewal forms to be sent out tomorrow, which will cite three years of stadium renovations.

They have to pay for that giant ego named cam newton.

When I opened up my renewal letter and saw the increase I dropped it and jumped backwards.

Why bother when prices are so absurd. You could buy a family vacation to Maui instead. The game is better on television anyways.

Most places raise ticket prices, but $48 to $195 is insane!

They are the National Football Conference champions. I feel you pain Panthers fans. The owners ask you to pay the freight so you can see your favorite entertainers.

The range is between $48 and $195. Not from $48 to $195.

Imagine what they would charge if they actually won something. I guess it goes to show you that people will buy anything.

I will only pay these prices if they bring Steve Smith home!

His name is Scam Newton for a reason.

Thanks. That makes a lot more sense.

I thinks it’s like the SB50 MVP cleats Cam had to dispose of. The original letter said they were going to raise the price of 100% of the seats between $35 and $300, citing 3 years of stadium renovations and a Super Bowl. Oops.

I think they should sell Cam Cheating urinal pads complete with his toothy smile. I want to show him how much I love him.

    Mark Cuban was right…

“Cam Newton released his first public pic of his newborn son (not so incidentally named “Chosen”) on Instagram this week bracketed with his MVP Trophy and Offensive Player of the Year Trophy! The baby was merely a prop!!! What kind of man does this? This had nothing to do with touchdown celebrations.”

They would be better off going with the old “it’s a better product, so we’re charging more for it” reasoning than the stadium renovations. The PSL owners – along with everyone else in Charlotte – are already paying for those through the higher restaurant tax.

Not a big deal to me; I can’t afford to go anyway. Last time I paid my own way into a game was 1997. Every game I’ve been to since were someone else’s tickets that they gave me. No worries. When Mark Cuban’s predictions come true and the whole NFL business model collapses in on itself, perhaps it will re-emerge with more affordable prices.

Increased ticket prices for the runaway NFC champs?! What a concept!

Don’t worry, you’ll all understand when your team goes 15-1 or better…
