Odell Beckham’s cousin trying to drum up NFL interest

The cousin of Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is trying to convince some NFL team to give him a minicamp invitation.

Terron Beckham was a running back in high school but didn’t play in college, and he’s now an Instagram fitness model. On social media he posts impressive pictures and says he can vertical jump 45 inches and bench press 225 pounds 42 times, claims that should be taken with a grain of salt.

One NFL personnel executive told the New York Post that his team is interested enough to take a look, but it’s unlikely that it would go beyond taking a look.

An extreme long shot,” the executive said. “You look under every rock, though, so he’ll get a look.”

Terron Beckham probably won’t join his cousin in the NFL, but if he’s able to turn viral videos into a spot on a 90-man roster, he could join a fraternity that includes Trick Shot Quarterback Alex Tanney and Havard “Kickalicious” Rugland.

He’s a beast. I know that much. The vert and the bench are legit I know that. I doubt he can play NFL level football though.

He has the Mortal Kombat logo on his chest, so you know he’s a winner. Some team better tell him, “Get over here!”

All natural. One protein shake in the morning and some milk before you go to bed, in between you eat some eggs and boom, you’re shredded. Arnold Schwarzenegger had the same diet, can’t argue with the results!

Working out and playing football are completely different things. In football you need to be fast both physically and mentally, have good dexterity and flexibility, and be able to take a beating. Working out and modeling you just need to look good and be strong.

I thought that was the Thundercats logo.

  11. mrbiggstuff says: Feb 20, 2016 10:49 AM

There’s at least one stupid team who’ll think, “Hey, he’s a Beckham. He’s gotta have the same talent, right?”

    Im looking at you, Cleveland!

If the packers looked at him, then said no thanks, i bet the vikings would sign him. the vikings love anything that has been cut or released by the packers.

  17. keylimelight says: Feb 20, 2016 11:55 AM

They’re letting him join the combine because they could use a good gimmick.

This Beckham is going to be this year’s Michael Sam.

I’m twice the age of most posters here, but I know this much:
There are gonna be a lot of young people (who in twenty years won’t be young anymore) that are gonna rue the day they coated themselves in tattoos.
They merely display your stupidity level. Nothing more.
When you wake up in twenty and feel this way, just remember that I said it here.

  24. drunkraider says: Feb 20, 2016 2:46 PM

No, no, hell no ! I guarantee this kid cannot play. If he had the skill set he would have gotten a shot years ago. This article spells it out for you, if the kid had had “any” collegiate offers coming out of high school it would have been mentioned. Some form of statistic, like what kind of yardage the kid gained in high school as a running back but no, Nada, they don’t mention a thing ! If he wasn’t the cousin of Beckham then he wouldn’t even be on this site! Look at the last guy with family ties, Jerry Rice’s son who had like 5 catches total at UCLA , he got several tryouts based on family ties but where is he Now ? As far as muscular guys playing football you have no further to look than Brock Lesnar from the WWE and former champion, who tried out for the Vikings. Coach Mike Tice signed him as a defensive tackle and since that time, we have “never” heard from Tice OR Lesnar ever again. Lesnar was 6-3, 286-pound solid rock and he certainly had the muscle but “flexibility” is also key. Nope, the kid looks like an excellent physical specimen and maybe this instagram fitness model junk will eventually pay off for him. If not, i’m sure there’s some form of “Chip-&-Dale’s” nigthclub he can strip at and maybe pull down a few dollars. BTW, what’s wrong with old school “Go-back-to-college-and-get-an-education” program? Way too many young kids trying to catch a break by some serial or viral webcam opportunity. Ridiculous go get a “real” job !

Take him off the ‘roids and he’ll deflate faster than a nickel balloon at an 8-year-old’s birthday party.

  29. dreadnok89 says: Feb 20, 2016 8:57 PM

Ya i bet hes drug free too. Lololol

  30. jkulha86 says: Feb 21, 2016 12:42 AM

If he’s serious about it, try and get picked up by Major League Football for the spring. If he shows any type of skill a team would most likely sign him as a training camp invitee.

  31. frankmartinsworld says: Feb 21, 2016 1:00 AM

Is he smart enough and dirty enough to play on the NFL level.. Somebody keeps giving Matt Flynn and Matt Cassell shots…

  32. cherrybop says: Feb 21, 2016 6:14 AM

To give him credit, he’s at least taking it easy on the HGH – otherwise he’d have a Peyton five-head to go along with those anabolic steroid grown muscles.

  33. cherrybop says: Feb 21, 2016 6:15 AM

He probably has more potential as a pro-wrestler than a NFL player, I’d like to add.

  34. harrisonhits2 says: Feb 21, 2016 4:04 PM

    Poster boy for steroids

  35. egomaniac247 says: Feb 22, 2016 8:30 AM
