A week ago, the New York Daily News published a 13-year-old legal document from a lawsuit involving Peyton Manning. It was, as a practical matter, the equivalent of ripping the 21st chapter from a 30-chapter book.

In the seven days since then, folks have been trying to make sense of the book by jumping around from chapter to chapter and page to page, without the benefit of the broader perspective.

So I decided to record a special, one-hour PFT Live podcast aimed at explaining the events and the litigation that have culminated in a 20-year-old incident involving a then-19-year-old Peyton Manning becoming one of the biggest sports stories of the week. Having a law degree and 18 years of experience practicing law made it a little easier. Hopefully, this podcast will make the situation a lot more understandable for anyone interested in knowing more about a 1996 incident on which everyone seems to have a strong opinion.
