If Jonathan Newsome is going to play his music too loud in the vicinity of marijuana, he’s apparently going to be doing it somewhere other than Indianapolis.

The just-arrested linebacker tweeted out what appears to be a goodbye to the Colts, thanking coach Chuck Pagano and General Manager Ryan Grigson for the opportunity.

It’s also interesting that he wrote “I have made mistakes, but ive [sic] grown.”

Since then, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Newsome has been released.

Of course, this was the week after he was arrested for possession of marijuana, which cops found when they came to his home to investigate a noise complaint. This came three weeks after they came to his house to investigate a noise complaint, and found marijuana.

So if he had learned and grown from his first mistake (someone else was arrested that night, Cris Carter will be proud), he might still be employed by the Colts.

As a guy who has shown pass-rush potential, he might find someone to take him in. But he’s also had multiple marijuana-related incidents, so anyone that does will be doing so with the knowledge he could be facing league punishment.
