On Sunday afternoon, NFL Network reported that the Bills plan to meet with free-agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie. On Sunday night, Cromartie said while appearing on NFLN that he knows nothing of a meeting with the Bills.

“I want to know where [Ian Rapoport] got this report from, ‘cause this is news to me,” Cromartie said, via Kimberly A. Martin of Newsday.

Cromartie nevertheless would welcome a reunion with Bills coach (and former Jets) coach Rex Ryan, who signed Cromartie in 2010 as a free agent from the Chargers.

I love Rex,” Cromartie said, via Martin. “That would be a great opportunity for me. I think he’s doing something good up in Buffalo to try to get that organization turned around.”

Cromartie, who turns 32 in April, has played for the Chargers, Jets, Cardinals, and Jets again. The Jets recently released Cromartie, allowing him to meet with, and to sign with, any team.
