The Jaguars, like everyone else, need pass rushers. They may find one, via a reunion between a Seahawk and a former defensive coordinator in Seattle.

Bruce Irvin, a first-round pick in 2012, is due to hit the open market on March 9. With Seattle choosing not to pick up his fifth-year option last year, the only way to keep that from happening would be to use the franchise tag now.

Per a league source, Jacksonville is one of the teams to watch next week, when the time comes for the former West Virginia standout to hit the market. Jaguars coach Gus Bradley was the defensive coordinator in Seattle during Irvin’s rookie year, during which he recorded eight sacks.

After the Seahawks opted not to pick up his option last year, Irvin said he’ll be playing for the Falcons in 2016. It’s a move that also would make sense, given that Bradley’s successor in Seattle, Dan Quinn, is now the head coach in Atlanta.
